Dog park fun

Saturday was warm and sunny, so we decided to get out and get some fresh air. We took the kids to the off leash dog park. The kids walked, climbed, kicked stones and threw Jordy's toy. Jordy ran around like a banana ....and swam too, of course.

Jordy was so tired after all the running and swimming.....

kids + dogs = super cute

It snowed.

and then it melted.

filling in the blanks....

Since I've been sick AND I've been trying to write work blog posts, I have been a slacker on posting here. So here's what else happened.

We met up with Tad and Jessica for dinner. For some reason, I took a picture of this but no pictures of us.

T cooked chili for Annunciation's Chili Cook off. He didn't win despite having several fans of his chili. We learned there is a big difference between excellent chili and chili that wins church chili cook offs.

We drank some of the NC beer sampler. My favorite was the Sisters of the Moon IPA by Mother Earth Brewing.

I caught Jordy checking his Facebook.

Harper lost another front tooth.

I met up with Jane for a quick coffee to celebrate her birthday and catch up.

RTP happenings

My week in RTP was great (despite being sick, ignoring the majority of my day job and missing the family back home).

I met an international crew of folks that are all interested in social media. We are a blogger team -- and thought leaders. We enjoyed a team dinner on the last night in RTP where we ate WAY too much meat and laughed alot. I am looking forward to my social media contributions. AND to keeping in touch with my new international group of friends.

I also made sure to get out and try some craft beer. I picked up a sampler, wrapped it in my yoga mat and brought it back to MN.

the lost Madonna photos....

Thanks Nicole for sharing these pictures. It was a super fun concert. It seems like ages ago already though.

RTP

I'm in NC for work. Learning to become an official social media contributor.

It is interesting and fun. The campus is amazing.

Sunday = football

The perfect idea for the day after a concert (and a full weekend with a flight out of town in the evening) is to have people over for a football party!!

It was fabulous. The usual cast of characters were there - Morans, La Chappelles -- Jane and her kids came too. And my friend Marie! It was a full house since we had the kids through the end of the game. Maria and Harper were fast friends. Charlie and Sully co-existed, but didn't really play together. Oh, and the Moran's puppy played in the yard with Jordy.

Needless to say, I didn't watch much of the game. I didn't even feel like I had enough time to catch up with everyone.

I was soooo tired from the late night concert! ...so was Emerson.

the Material Girl

I met up with the girls for dinner in St. Paul at the Barbary Fig for a pre-concert dinner.

We made it to Xcel Center with more than enough time to chat for a bit before Madonna hit the stage around 10:45 PM.

The show was excellent. The music was amazing - some old stuff and some new stuff. Great night!

Just another Saturday....

We stopped by the grand opening of the gym. The kids (including Harper's friend Lucy) played and got their faces painted.

Then we headed to the bowling alley for the longest single game of bowling ever! All the kids had great fun until the tiredness took over.

And then there was ..... Madonna!

Halloween

T was out tricking and treating with the kids, so Jordy and I were in charge of candy at our house. Jordy wore his spiderman dog costume. I wore Mrs. Potato head.

Jordy thought it was the best night ever. He got lots of pets and even managed to lick a few kids faces. At the end of the night, he was exhausted!

Mrs. Potato Head

I did wear this costume. Not for the race, but after ....

....and for the trick or treaters on Halloween.

After the race I gave in to the cold that was coming for me. I haven't posted since then, but so much has happened. I will try to catch up one at a time.....
